Employee Engagement Program Management

OD also offers three interrelated Employee Engagement Workshops which engages and empowers employees to their optimal performance by working together in co-creating an organizational culture that sustains HHS as a model employer through the 21st century. Below is a brief description of each workshop:
  • POWER (Positive Oriented Work Experience Redesign)
    This 90 minute workshop for all employees at all levels guides participants in their development of a positive oriented work experience redesign (POWER) action plan that invigorates the employee experience
  • PEAC (Performance Engagement Action Culture)
    A 120 minute workshop for supervisors and managers that outlines five effective principles for creating a performance engagement action culture (PEAC) for their teams/units
  • AIM (Attention Intention Management)
    A 50 minute introductory workshop for senior manager/executives that focuses attention on areas related results from the Federal Employee Viewpoint Survey (FEVS) that call for improvement while suggesting approaches for clarifying collective intention for managing a high performance organization (AIM)
HHS Human Capital follows the OPM Definition of Employee Engagement for the Federal government of "The employee's sense of purpose that is evident in their display of dedication, persistence, and effort in their work or overall attachment to their organization and its mission."
